The Essense Detox Silk Masque is a face masque that purifies and detoxes skin and pores. It also helps brighten the skin and lighten pigmentation over time.

PRODUCT APPLICATION:

After skin has been thoroughly cleansed, apply your preferred treatment product (i.e. Miracle Tissue Oil) under the Detox Silk Masque and leave for 10-15 minutes. Do not let the masque dry completely.

*** Some interesting facts about the drying phase of a clay/silt/mud masque:
There are three phases of a clay/silt/mud masque.
There’s the ‘damp phase’ where your skin drinks in the beneficial ingredients from the product. Then you have the ‘start of the dry phase’, which exercises your capillaries and stimulates blood flow as the masque contracts. But then there’s the ‘dry phase’, which draws out moisture from the surface of your skin, that can cause dehydration.

Don’t wait for it to reach the ‘flaky stage’ before you start rinsing. Do the touch test: When you start to see it drying (which usually means it gets lighter in color), but it still feels a bit sticky, it’s time to rinse off.

Rinse with lukewarm Rooibos infused water and pat skin dry.
